femex Community Workshops

In celebration of women's history month, femex invites you to a series of community workshops in collaboration with the DC Library system. Workshops will be held at:  Lamond-Riggs Library, Dorothy I. Height/Benning Library and the West End Interim Library.

Workplace Communication Workshop

Join femex for an interactive session covering communication, interpersonal-interactions, diversity, career advancement and more. Participants will be guided through a series of activities, share their own experiences and discuss what it means to have a safe and inclusive work environment. femex workshops are designed for women or female-identified people however, we welcome all individuals who wish to participate.

Feminism Workshop

Join femex for a crash course in women's movements and feminism in the U.S. and discuss how you relate to these ideas and events.  During this interactive session we will explore the messages we have received about feminism and what it means to be a feminist. The discussion will cover feminism and the debate surrounding its definition, first, second, and third wave feminist movements, and intersectionality.
